Brief History

The Department of Building Technology was established in 2012 to train middle level building engineers in the Upper East Region and beyond.
The Department provides high quality, career-focused education and training in construction related programmes with emphasis on practical work and experience, as well as entrepreneurial skills in order to enable students acquire requisite competencies for the development of the Construction industry. Department runs both Bachelor of Technology (2-Year Top-up & 4-Year Degree) and Higher National Diploma programmes.

To create and transmit knowledge using innovative teaching methods, applied research and practical training to meet the nation’s construction sector’s manpower needs.
